Epic Games sues AR company Nreal for sounding like “Unreal”

Epic Games has sued a Chinese company Nreal for trademark infringement. The company claims that the name Nreal “looks and sounds virtually identical” to Unreal’s branding. In addition, Epic Games also states that both companies compete in the same field, developing Mixed Reality 3D-modelling tools.

 

Oculus, as a part of Facebook, acquires game developer Downpour Interactive to join the Oculus Studios team

Downpour Interactive, the developer of popular VR multiplayer VR tactical shooter “Onward’, is now joining the Oculus Studios team to continue polishing their existing title as well as building new projects.
