Face irritation concerns force Facebook to pause Oculus Quest 2 sales
Facebook is pausing the sales of the Oculus Quest 2 VR headset a month before updating it with more storage. Several owners of the headset reported face irritation issues from the foam faceplate, causing the face to puff up and the eyes to close.
In the future Oculus Quest 2 will ship with silicone face covers, which will fit over the foam. Those who have already purchased the headset and experience skin irritation can get the cover for free.
Nextech to launch Augmented Reality NFT hologram creator platform
The AR vendor in e-commerce, e-learning, AR video conferencing, and events has revealed its plans to launch the NFT hologram creator platform.
The rollout plan includes two stages. At first, the users can purchase human holograms through the third-party NFT marketplace, and then view them with Nextech’s HoloX application. The second stage is about minting the NFT on Nextech’s platform in order to buy and sell holograms right through Nexttech’s platform.
