We are an AR platform company. We started working with HQSoftware about 2 years ago to create an MVP for client demonstrations and market testing. HQSoftware was referred to us by our Australian technology partner who had used them in previous development projects. We started working with HQSoftware about three years ago and the project is ongoing. We have taken the platform to market and have continual iterations for its improvement.
Our tool was initially developed by another firm. HQSoftware provided coding services, taking our business specifications and redesigning the platform on HTML5. The development was brought to a much higher level of quality than previously. HQSoftware also has built and continue to build new modules for the platform from scratch. The team has worked out a technical strategy, creating a development plan for making the software white label ready. This included creating the server infrastructure that allowed us to house the software.
The project has been completely successful and I couldn't be happier. The quality of the developers and the consistency of our core team has been above and beyond what was required. HQSoftware's project manager and 2 of our developers have been working with us since the project was started. The staff turnover is very low, which I personally find reassuring. Since the work is very complicated, I don't want to have to pay for training new people.
As a young startup we chose a strategy of moving on with MVP’s to test the new ideas in a broad market. To be able to quickly find good enough talent, teams and organizations to execute our tests we went for small companies rather than individual freelancers or workers. In the beginning we had quickly developed some “just enough to show” prototypes to communicate the app idea live-enough...
That worked quite well but also turned out to be a show stopper for any further progress since apps eventually did not really serve the intended real-life use scenarios in full.

The project manager, Angelina, really had a great understanding of the technology side. Her team responded to our requests quickly and efficiently. She was always getting back to me. We’re on an East Coast time zone here; she’s 6, 7 hours ahead. She’d be available till mid-afternoon our time, which was almost midnight her time. She was always able to wrap our conversations up and put them into a timeline. She organized and kept everything on task.
I liked how they were able to work with me about our payment schedule. HQSoftware were flexible and let me dictate the terms depending on what would make sense. We could do it bi-weekly. If I wanted to wrap it up after 40 hours, 80 hours’ worth of work, we could make payments then. I think that came down from the owner who made it possible for us to work with him.
Our company subcontracted HQSoftware to create a mobile app that spices up relationships by gamifying couple’s household routines. Our initial designs were quite basic; however, the team were able to translate our concept into an engaging, intuitive and secure OS application with an estimated user base of 100,000. I started doing business with HQSoftware from as early as October 2009. During this period of time, this company, and its team have successfully implemented more than 40 different web CMS projects for me including the Maestro Media presentation website. Most of the projects we did together were based on the "Apartment Selector” CMS that was also developed for me by their team.
Apartment Selector CMS is a fully custom built content management system aimed to facilitate online trade on the real estate market. The system gives the customer (a construction company) ability to put the whole construction site (usually a new district of a town) online. The visitors then can browse the offers, see the location of each house on a general site plan, pick the house group/a house/an apartment visually on a site plan, see the details on each house, see whether the apartment is vacant or sold, buy the apartment online, request a PDF sales brochure. Every project built with it might also have specific features requested by the customer for it.
The system is built in .NET with a Microsoft SQL server as a database. The visualisation of the districts is made using Google api. The system integrates with the customer's internal systems for easy transfer of the content related to the apartments being sold like house descriptions, images, 3D models, prices, availability info. The integration is done using XML. Purchase and contact requests from the site are being posted to the customer's CRM.
The HQSoftware team worked on the development of the portal www.gdeetotdom.ru and carried out quality control tests on the software. The software had been developed on the basis of Bitrix CMS by four people. The total budget is over 3 thousand man-hours. In our opinion, experts at HQSoftware delivered tasks with required quality, in a timely manner and with the set budget. I recommend them as reliable partners and skilled developers.
Having worked with HQSoftware since November 2010, the scope of work they did for me ranged from analysis and development, to support of the online system that facilitated online sales and services of mу casting agency. The system fully integrates the internal and external (customer-side) workflows creating a transparent and smooth online e-commerce solution. They have picked up the work from another agency that failed to properly build the system and did a great job putting the things in order for me.
l should also mention specifically that they have also done GUl design work for me that included creating user-friendly interfaces for the software that they’ve already done, The project duration was about a year. The project value—about 14 man/months (2300 hrs). As a result, we are now able to do our business 100% online and we are fully transparent to all our customers. We have contracted HQSoftware to develop a part of Ichiba electronic trading platform (www.ichiba.ru). Ichiba is an online mall that unites a lot of small sellers and producers and enables them to create and manage their online shops in a few clicks using a simple web-based interface. Ichiba also provides the sellers with a noticeable set of additional services like shipments management, integration with their internal systems (data import and export), payment systems integration, content management services and such.
HQSoftware worked on the development of the eCRM modules, and a set of 3rd party services integration—which is a very important part of Ichiba. This allowed the end customer to subscribe for personalized mailings and communication via personal cabinet. The duration of the project was about 8 months. The total effort was over 500 man/hours.
The project was pushed to live in April 2011. Soon after that we had more than 1 million items of goods in our database.
Recently Ichiba has formed a united company with Russia's top market players like Price.ru and Begun. The service rendered was of a high quality, and I am fully satisfied with the process and results and I do recommend HQSoftware as a reliable and professional supplier.
We contacted HQSoftware about 2 years ago asking them to help us build a set of web applications that would have helped us trade our services in a more efficient way. In response to that, HQSoftware created an “automated online order acceptance and processing system” and an online payment gateway. The system gives our store personnel and authorized customers the ability to rapidly create and process incoming orders.
SuperPrint Ltd. is a retail printing agency operating under the trademark Karandash. The core of our business is executing a huge number of micro orders like printing 2 pages or printing one T-shirt or one cup. The profitability of our business is fully dependent on how effectively we process each individual order. Thus, having an efficient IT infrastructure is vital.
The system features high load though very fast response times (less than 1 second for page updates). The orders accepted via the system can be paid online via the “Karandash payment gateway” and mailed to the customer. The system was created using the SCRUM methodology. That means that the developer delivered working portions of the full system as they were ready, we were able to start implementation immediately. As a result of the 1st half-year of our partnership with HQSoftware, we managed to process about 30% more orders, so the system paid off before it was fully completed. The development is done using MS.NET framework and MS SQL server. The total value of the project, for now, is more than USD 100,000.
